Question #6621   Submitted by Answiki on 09/12/2022 at 05:59:14 PM UTC

How to play the Bm (B minor) chord on the piano?

Answer   Submitted by Answiki on 09/12/2022 at 06:01:08 PM UTC

On the piano, the B minor chord (Bm) is composed of the following notes: B - D - F#

The B minor chord is traditionally played with

  •  the thumb, index and ring fingers for the right hand ;
  •  the little finger, the middle finger and the thumb for the left hand.

It can also be divided in different ways between the two hands to avoid too much movement. You can also double notes (for example, play the chord with the right hand and double the B with the left hand).
