How to display norm of a vector with LaTeX?

There is many ways to display the norm of a vector with LaTeX:


  • \| \vec{v} \| displays 


  • \lVert \vec{v} \rVert displays 


To adjust the norm (for example for fractions) use:

  • \left\lVert \dfrac{\vec{v}}{n} \right\rVert displays
