In Ubuntu 20.04, how to display the day of the week in the desktop date?

Option 1: command line

On Ubuntu 20.04, the following command add the day of the week in the desktop date:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface clock-show-weekday true


Option 2: Gnone Tweaks

The second option is to install Gnome Tweaks for advanced settings:

sudo apt install gnome-tweaks

In the Top Bar menu of Tweaks, turn Weekday on :
