When writing to a French doctor, one of the following forms of greetings should be used:
General formal greeting:
Veuillez agréer, Docteur, l'expression de ma considération distinguée.
For a man:
Veuillez agréer, cher Docteur, l'expression de ma considération distinguée.
For a woman:
Veuillez agréer, chère Docteur, l'expression de ma considération distinguée.
