In French, the verb venir (to come) is conjugated
- in the simple future tense: je viendrai
- in the present conditional: je viendrais
Tip: to find out if the sentence is in the future or conditional tense, replace the first person singular ( je ) with the first person plural ( nous ) :
Je viendrai demain. ⮕ Nous viendrons demain. ⮕ futur tense.
Ils pensaient que j'en viendrais à bout. ⮕ Ils pensaient que nous en viendrions à bout. ⮕ Present conditional
