In French, how to write « quitte à » ?

The French locution quitte à means "to take the risk of". It is always spelled quitte à.

For example:

Dis ce que tu penses, quitte à les choquer. <=> Say what you think, even if it shocks them.

Quitte à payer, autant que ce soit pour la bonne cause. <=> If you're going to pay, you might as well do it for a good cause.

Quitte à travailler gratuitement, autant faire un truc qu'on aime ! <=> If you're going to work for free, you might as well do something you love!
