The NF C 15-100 standard specifies that the maximum number of outlets per circuit is :
- 8 outlets for a 1.5 mm² cable circuit with a 16 A circuit breaker.
- 12 outlets for a 2.5 mm² cable circuit with a circuit breaker up to 20 A.
Note that classically,
- the light circuits are wired in 1.5 mm² on a 10 A circuit breaker
- socket circuits are wired in 2.5 mm² on a 16 A circuit breaker
- the specialized socket circuits are wired in 2.5 mm² on a 20 A circuit breaker
